Kerry Fitzgerald

Writer, Performer

Represented by

Louisa Minghella

Kerry is a working class writer/performer (from a council estate on the Old Kent Road) with a bold, authentic voice. She focuses on marginalised stories and dynamic female characters. She has written extensively for theatre and is co-artistic director of the punk feminist theatre company Purple Ostrich Productions. Her bonkers comedy lectures have headlined comedy stages across the UK & Denmark. As a screenwriter, she has multiple TV series and a feature in development. She’s been long listed for the Funny Women Comedy Writing Award and was recently short listed for the BAFTA Rocliffe (Film 2024). Kerry performs standup and was just shortlisted for the Chortle Comedy Hotshots: Class of 2025. As an actor (who trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on a scholarship, oooh errr) she's performed for about ten years, most recently in the BBC comedy King Gary and as co-lead in the indie comedy feature ManBaby opposite Divian Ladwa (Detectorists, Ant Man and the Wasp, Lion) - due for release summer 2025.
