Jesse Quinones

Jesse is an Afro-Cuban-Irish writer/director based between London and LA. In 2025 he directed 2X90 for Channel 5's new detective show COOPER & FRY. This year he also Associate Produced and Directed on Waterloo Road S18. His recent feature scripts PENTESTER featured on the 2023 Blacklist and HEIST OF BENIN has David Oyelowo attached to star, set up at Studio Canal. He has an original TV project THE TUNNEL set up at ITV with Osun Group producing. Also in development is THE YACHT at Green Acre Films. Jesse directed “Love Is A Stranger”, for season 8 of INSIDE NO 9, receiving a 5 Star Review in The Times. His first feature film, CALLOUSED HANDS, starred Andre Royo (The Wire) and screened at over 20 festivals around the world, garnering numerous awards. CAGEFIGHTER followed starring Gina Gershon and Chuck Liddell and was released theatrically in 2020, with a global online release on Crackle. Jesse is a full member of BAFTA, Director's UK, and the WGA. Additionally, he is an alumni of numerous writing labs and fellowships including the Royal Court Young Writer's Programme, Soho Theatre Writer's Attachment Programme, Berlinale Talent Campus, B3 Media Talent Lab, NALIP Latino Writer's Lab, and the BBC Writer's Room. In his downtime he enjoys spending time with his family and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which he holds a Black Belt in. Jesse is also represented in LA by Gersh and Industry.
